Overall the season has gone well:
- 13 pole positions, including 5 consecutive
- 10 victories, including 5 consecutive
- 76.5 puntigp to a pole, Belgium
- 80.2 puntigp for a victory in Britain
statistics are our best ever, but I eat my hands on those final 8 points of separation in the drivers' standings are just a few.
Only in Korea, we would have been able to recover six playing brakes and Traction. Also earlier in the season we had three races by focusing on each of the two trios, one with + Webber Webber, the other with Rosberg + Schumacher. Before you decide to sell two of the Mercedes had come to terms to decide what to do, and there we realized that we were now focusing on Australia we lost some points of the second trio (which at the time there had taken 10) but 10-12 would have earned on the first.
is to be considered then that the new score, which on paper looked very rewarding victories, eventually winning more consistency (in my opinion rightly, although it went to my disadvantage). In fact my Webber was second with ten victories, while Taprirlongo Alonso won the drivers' title with four races won.
I tried to come to terms with the 2009 scores to see come sarebbe andata, e la situazione sarebbe stata a mio svantaggio: avrei perso anche il titolo costruttori. Io avrei fatto 131 punti (125+6) e Tapirlongo ne avrebbe fatti 134 (133+1).
Alla fine quindi complimenti a Omar di Tapirlongo, per la bella stagione stagione combattuta fino all'ultima gara, e complimenti a Maurizio dei Magnifici Due (campionato Ferrari) che con i due titoli di questa stagione ci supera e diventa la scuderia più titolata di tutti i tempi. Ci rimane ancora il record per punti totali conquistati, visto che abbiamo più stagioni di lui all'attivo, speriamo di reggere :-)
